A year ago… I had chosen a team name that had MUCH more to it then I ever realized!  Team Witham – “The Dazzling Diva’s”.  After doing some research, I found the TRUE meaning to the name DIVA.  I was so amazed…that I had to share it with you! See below…..

The origin of the word, “Diva” is “divine”, when I saw this, I immediate saw the acronym for the word, “Divinely Inspired Virtuously Attuned”.

Being a diva is not in the clothes and the jewelery that one wears, nor does it pertain to race or color, it pertains to the God in you. The God in you produces the beauty in your outward appearance.

If your inner person is ugly acting then your outer person will appear ugly. As a person thinks in his heart, so is he. If your thinking is ugly so will your actions on the outside and you can be the most beautiful woman, but your attitude will make you ugly.

But a true diva houses the anointing and character of the Virtuous Woman in Proverbs 31.

A diva is not a pimpette nor can she be pimped, she is a woman of character, an entreprenuer, and a woman of wisdom, she doesn’t need to think highly of herself, because others do that for her and her virtue and reverance for the Lord brings her praise from Him because He is well pleased in her service to Him and to her surroundings.

A true diva does not crave attention, it comes on its on and when others are drawn to her, it opens up the door for her to minister to them.

A true diva has paid the cost to achieve the title, because rather than being puffed up with pride, she is clothed in humility.

How amazing is it that I chose this word by chance….and a year later I find it has such a powerful & perfect meaning????  For those not familiar…Thirty One Gifts basis its Mission on Proverbs 31 from the bible.  Hence the name “Thirty One”.
